Happy New Year, Rec Room! To kick the year off, we’re launching some updates to your voice privacy settings, coming in our next major update!

We are updating our voice privacy settings, which will give you more control over who you hear, but also who hears YOU in the Room.

We’ve also reordered the slider from “none” players being able to hear you, to “favorite friends”, to “friends”, “friends and party”, then “all”! Make sure to check these new settings and adjust who you want to hear and who you want to hear you!

Please note that these settings do not apply during Voice Calls. In a Voice Call, everyone will hear you regardless of your in-room settings.

You can also tweak your settings further to mute yourself, or others in the room while in a voice call so other players won’t accidentally hear you practicing your rizz.
